Aggiornamento: 4/2007 Partenza: il valico di Capanne di Carrega è attraversato dalla strada asfaltata che collega la Val Trebbia e la Val Borbera (Carrega Ligure). E' raggiunto dall'itinerario 17 e dall'itinerario 3 della Val Borbera. Descrizione.
Dalle case proseguiamo in salita, asfaltata, arrivando al punto in cui la visione
si apre sul versante della val Trebbia e la pendenza si attenua.
Da questo punto parte un evidente sentiero che sale a destra (segnavia FIE e ; la strada prosegue
arrivando, in un km, a Casa del Romano, trattoria ed albergo). Saliamo pochi metri
ripidi poi proseguiamo con dolci pendenze tra i pascoli ed i boschi del crinale.
Scendiamo ad una sella erbosa (km 1) dove prendiamo il sentiero a destra che aggira alcuni dossi erbosi. Percorriamo il versante settentrionale con qualche saliscendi ed usciamo sul crinale.
Dopo una sella con una piccola croce superiamo un tratto accidentato e raggiungiamo un valico con panche (km 3,3).
Saliamo quasi
in vetta al Monte Tre Croci (km 4) e scendiamo
al Passo Tre Croci (km 4,4). La mulattiera a sinistra scende a Caprile (itinerario 19), quella a destra va a Vegni (itinerario 7).
Proseguiamo quasi in piano sul sentiero stranamente ondulato ("le traversine") e saliamo con qualche passo sconnesso. Una ripida
discesa porta ad una sella (km 5,8).
Lasciamo a sinistra il sentiero per Caprile ed affrontiamo una salita, faticosa e non ciclabile di circa 400 metri che termina sui pascoli sottostanti
la vetta. Trascuriamo il sentiero che sale alla croce e proseguiamo diritti confluendo
in una stradina (km 6,4). La seguiamo arrivando rapidamente alla chiesetta (km
6,7). Dislivello: 350 m. Ciclabilità: 91%. Asfalto: 6% Osservazioni: Evitate di salire in vetta con la bici, il terreno è
già abbastanza rovinato. Il rifugio è chiuso da molti anni; ne è stato costruito uno nuovo che si trova sulla discesa per Bavastrelli, molto lontano dalla vetta.

Salita al monte Antola da Capanne di Carrega
Updating: 4/2007 Departure: the Huts of Carrega Pass is crossed by the asphalted road that links the Val Trebbia and the Val Borbera (Carrega Ligure). It's reached by the itinerary 17 and by the itinerary 3 of the Val Borbera. Description.
From the houses we continue in ascent, asphalted, reaching the point in which the sight opens on the slope of the val Trebbia and the inclination weakens.
From this point an evident path departs that climbs to the right (trail sign FIE and ; the road continues arriving, in a km, to the Romano's House, restaurant and hotel). We climb few steep meters then we continue with sweets inclinations among the pastures and the woods of the ridge.
We go down to a grassy saddle (km 1) where we take to the right the path that it revolves some grassy backs. We cross the northern slope with some ups and downs and we go out on the ridge.
After a saddle with a small cross we overcome an uneven tract and we reach a pass with benches (km 3,3).
We almost climb in peak to the Mountain Three Crosses (km 4) and we go down to the Pass Three Crosses (km 4,4). The left mule-track it goes down to Caprile (itinerary 19), to the right that goes to Vegni (itinerary 7).
We almost continue in plain on the undulated path oddly ("le traversine ") and we climb with some rough pass. A steep descent brings to a saddle (km 5,8).
We leave to the left the path for Caprile and we face a fatiguing and not cycle ascent of around 400 meters that finishes on the pastures underlying the peak. We neglect the path that climbs to the cross and we continues straight meeting in a narrow road (km 6,4). Ee follow it quickly reaching the church (km 6,7). Gradient: 350 ms. Cycle: 91%. Asphalt: 6% Observations: You avoid to climb peak with the bike, the ground is already enough ruined. The refuge has been being closed for many years; it has been built another new that is found on the descent for Bavastrelli, very away from the peak.
