Description.
We begin the run to the church of Capanne di Marcarolo and we follow the tarmac in south direction. At the crossroad we take to the left and we climb up to the intersection where rises the Chapel of Our Lady of the Assumption (km 1,5).
We take the road that skirts the little church and it goes down among the lawns reaching a farmhouse. We leave the road and go to the right crossing the courtyard (trail sign FIE: two yellow rhombs).
The road becomes a mule-track that it advances with little gradient but bottom a lot of rough and it forces to quite a lot stretches on foot. We cross some brooks and we climb to the Pass of the Moor (km 4,2) situated on the ridge that separates the Badana lake from the Long Lake. We neglect the paths that go down to the two lakes and we follow the road that continues in ascent. The road revolves the mountain on the left, with moderate inclination, but practically it is not cycle because of the stony bottom.
On the ridge we find again the trail sign (km 4,7) and we slightly go down to face a non cycle ascent that leads us to the highest point of the crossing (km 5,4).
We begin the descent characterized by steep stretches alternated from almost level zones. The path is narrow however it allows to be in saddle except that in the most rough points. We get over a brief non cycle ascent and we face the last descent, more binding and not cycle in the final stretch.
Gone out on the plain in front of an electric box we go down some meter and we are to the dike of the Lake Badana (km 7,2).
To the right the road goes down for the lake Bruno.
Gradient: 200 ms in descent.
Cycle: 75%
Tarmac: 25%
Observations: very fatiguing and binding. However it is panoramic.

We begin the run to the church of Capenne di Marcarolo and we follow the tarmac in south direction. At the intersection we take to the left and we climb up to the intersection where rises the Chapel of Our Lady of the Assumption (km 1,5).
We take the road that skirts the little church and it goes down among the lawns reaching a farmhouse that we leave to the right. We continue on asphalt up to when the road clearly begins to climb (km 2). We take here to the right the dirt level road.
We easily continue overcoming houses Menta I and houses Menta II and we reach an intersection with descriptive poster (km 3).
We continue straight on the mule-track that has taken the place of the road. The course is substantially still level but the bottom worsens notably. With some passage on foot we reach a shoulder (km 3,5) where paths are crossed.
We continue straight on, in descent. Gradually difficulties increase and we proceed on foot for quite a lot stretches. Laboriously we reach the final descent, steep and no cycle, that finishes to the stair that allows to access the crowning of the dike of the Lake Badana (km 4,75).
We cross the crowning to reach the opposite extremity where we meet the road (km 5) that it goes down to the Lake Bruno.
Gradient: 150 ms in descent.
Cycle: inferior than 80%
Tarmac: 40%
Observations: fatiguing and few cycle. Unadvisable.

We easily continue overcoming houses Menta I and houses Menta II and we reach an intersection with descriptive poster (km 3).
We turn to the right and we slightly go down on a narrow road that climbs again to overcome a back. We get over a steep descent that leads to ford a brook and we continue more easily skirting the lawns.
The narrow road finishes to an house (Cascinussa; km 4) and it continues narrowing to path that continues in light descent and it reaches the stream.
We skirt along the bed of the brook while the bottom worsens. In proximity of a poster we leave the path (what leads to the beach) and we go down to the right to ford.
The path continues on the opposite bank and reaches a bridge at the extremity of the lake (km 4,5).
We cross the bridge and we follow to the left the path that it begins to skirt the lake. The run is level and cycle except in the passages in which the path is too damaged.
With a brief descent we reach the crowning of the dike of the Lake Badana (km 6,4).
Gradient: 150 ms in descent.
Cycle: 98%
Tarmac: 31%.
Observations: practicable also in contrary sense (you see itineraries 9 and 12) with a fatiguing and not cycle ascent of around 300 meters.

Description.
From the church of Capanne di Marcarolo we follow the road in direction north, in light descent, then in ascent to overcome a back. We shortly go down and we meet a dirt square to our right (km 1,1).
We enter the square and we turn to the right in a road that climbs. We continue in the ample dirt road without difficulty that forwards its in the pinewood. At the only fork we hold the left and we reach the peak.
The road quickly goes down, always easy and it finishes to the ruins of Farmhouse of the Alberghi (km 5,25).
We continue on the mule-track that presents immediately a rough bottom that it forces to proceed on foot. Overcome the worse stretch the path it cuts the slopes of the mountain with good-looking foreshortenings on the stream below. We sometimes meet some stretches particularly rough that forces us to go down of saddle, but the run is not fatiguing.
We arrive to a saddleback and we go down to a fork below (km 6,7).
To the left the path goes to the small dike of the Lake Bruno, we go to the right. The descent is easy at the beginning but then it becomes rough and no cycle and it finishes to a bridge (km 6,9).
We get over the bridge and we climb about fifty non cycle meters to reach the road that goes down from the Lake Badana.
Gradient: 180 ms in descent.
Cycle: 94%
Tarmac: 16%
Observations: very interesting and few fatiguing run. Practicable also in contrary sense.
