Partiamo dal parcheggio situato davanti alle scuole, sulla strada per Trovasta. Ritorniamo indietro fino al primo incrocio dove svoltiamo a sinistra seguendo le indicazioni per Lovegno. Seguiamo la strada asfaltata che sale fino a giungere alle prime case del paese (km 6,5).
Lasciamo l'asfalto e svoltiamo a sinistra in una strada col fondo in cemento.
Al termine della salita proseguiamo su sterrata e raggiungiamo un incrocio di strade (km
6,9).
Trascuriamo le strade a sinistra e svoltiamo a destra prendendo una strada in leggera salita. La strada sale lungamente, sempre con pendenza modesta, ad un bivio (km 9,4) dove teniamo la sinistra e proseguiamo fino Colla Domenica; sulla bella sella prativa sorge la chiesetta dedicata alla Madonna della Neve (km 11,5).
Proseguiamo sulla strada principale che sale dietro alla chiesa e raggiungiamo subito un altro incrocio. Qui prendiamo la strada che sale a destra.
La strada abbassa quasi subito la sua pendenza e proseguiamo senza difficoltà attraverso il versante della montagna.
Giungiamo ad incrociare una strada maggiore (km 13,9) che prendiamo a sinistra. La strada sale e raggiunge il santuario dedicato ai SS. Cosma e Damiano (San Cosimo sulle carte; km 15,1).
Effettuiamo un tornante e proseguiamo la salita sulla strada ora più stretta. Un paio di tornanti ci fanno guadagnare quota e ci permettono di raggiungere il termine della strada sul prato dove sorge la Cappella della Madonna del Monte (km 17). Dislivello: 920 m. Ciclabilità: 100% Asfalto: 38%. Osservazioni: la pendenza moderata e l'assenza di altre difficoltà ne fanno un bel percorso turistico che è possibile iniziare direttamente da Lovegno.
Ascent from Pieve di Teco to the Madonna of the Mountain

We depart from the parking lot in front of the schools, on the road for Trovasta. We return back up to the first intersection where we turn to the left following the indications for Lovegno. We follow the asphalted road that climbs up to reach the first houses of the country (km 6,5).
We leave the asphalt and we turn to the left in a road with the bottom in concrete.
At the end of the ascent we continue on dirt road and we reach an intersection of roads (km 6,9).
We neglect to the left the roads and we turn to the right taking a road in light ascent. The road longly climbs, always with modest inclination, to a fork (km 9,4) where we hold the left and we continue up to Colla Domenica; on the beautiful meadow saddle the church devoted to the Madonna of the Snow rises (km 11,5).
We continue on the principal road that climbs behind the church and we immediately reaches another intersection. Here the road that climbs to the right we take.
The road almost immediately lowers its inclination and we continues without difficulty through the slope of the mountain.
We arrive to cross a greater road (km 13,9) that we take to the left. The road climbs and reaches the sanctuary devoted to the SS. Cosma and Damiano (St. Cosimo on the papers; km 15,1).
We effect an hairping bend and we now continue the ascent on the more narrow road. A pair of hairping bends make us gain altitude and they allow us to reach the term of the road on the lawn where the Chapel of the Madonna of the Mountain stands (km 17). Gradient: 920 ms. Cycle: 100% Asphalt: 38%. Observations: the moderate inclination and the absence of other difficulties do of it a beautiful tourist run that is possible to directly begin from Lovegno.
