Aggiornamento: 03/2009 Partenza: il Forte Fratello Maggiore (demolito negli anni trenta, restano pochi ruderi)
è raggiungibile con l'itinerario 7.1. Descrizione.
Dallo spiazzo dove sorgeva il forte seguiamo il sentiero che abbiamo usato per salire e raggiungiamo la sella che precede il Fratello Minore. Svoltiamo a sinistra e scendiamo fino alla strada dei forti (km 0,9).
Svoltiamo a destra e lasciamo subito la strada per seguire il largo sentiero che corre sul crinale. Appena il sentiero sale lo lasciamo e svoltiamo a sinistra imboccando una piccola traccia in discesa nel prato. Dopo la discesa iniziale il sentierino va a destra. Lo lasciamo e prendiamo una traccia che scende a sinistra, ripida e sulla linea di massima pendenza.
La discesa è ripida ma non presenta altre difficoltà. Scendiamo con attenzione e raggiungiamo l'ampio sentiero (km 1,5) che attraversiamo continuando la discesa ora sul segnavia ed in comune con l'itinerario 35.
La discesa ci porta ad incrociare la sterrata dell'acquedotto (km
1,7) che attraversiamo. Proseguiamo in discesa sul crinale e, dopo il tratto iniziale ripido, proseguiamo facilmente.
Superiamo un colletto e costeggiamo il versante occidentale della montagna raggiungendo il crinale meridionale (km 2,4).
Qui lasciamo a destra l'itinerario 35 e seguiamo a sinistra il sentiero segnalato .
Una discesa piuttosto ripida ci porta ad un altro crinale che seguiamo a destra scegliendo una delle tracce parallele che scendono.
Ci portiamo a sinistra del crinale
e seguiamo l'evidente sentiero che termina su una mulattiera acciottolata (km 3,1).
Seguiamo la mulattiera che scende ad una strada asfaltata (km 3,3). Seguiamo l'asfalto fino a quando, a sinistra, possiamo imboccare la mattonata Salita Preli. Seguiamo costantemente la bella crosa che attraversa via Lodi alcune volte, passa tra le case di Preli, attraversa anche l'acquedotto storico (che potremmo vantaggiosamente seguire) e termina in via Piacenza (km 4,4).
Seguiamo a destra la strada che ci porta a Staglieno (km 5,9) Dislivello: -610 m. Ciclabilità: quasi 100% Asfalto: 34% Osservazioni: non percorribile in salita.
Descent from Fratello Maggiore to Staglieno
Updating: 03/2009 Departure: the Fortress Greater Brother (demolished in the thirties, few ruins stay) it is attainable with the itinerary 7.1. Description.
From the top where the fortress rose we follow the path that we have used for climbing and we reach the saddle that precedes the Smaller Brother. We turn to the left and we go down up to the road of the fortresses (km 0,9).
We turn to the right and we immediately leave the road to follow the wide path that races on the ridge. When the path climbs we leave it and we turn to the left taking a small trace in descent in the lawn. After the initial descent the narrow path goes to the right. We leaveit and a trace that goes down to the left take, steep and on the line of maximum inclination.
The descent is steep but doesn't offers other difficulties. We go down with attention and we reach the ample path (km 1,5) that we cross continuing the descent on the signal track and in common with the itinerary 35.
The descent brings us to cross the dirt road of the aqueduct (km 1,7) that we cross. We continue in descent on the ridge and, after the steep initial tract, we easily continue.
We overcome a pass and we skirt the western slope of the mountain reaching the southern ridge (km 2,4).
We leave to the right here the itinerary 35 and we follow to the left the signalled path.
A rather steep descent brings us to another ridge that we follow to the right choosing one of the parallel traces that go down.
We go to the left of the ridge and we follow the evident path that finishes on a clattered mule-track (km 3,1).
We follow the mule-track that goes down to an asphalted road (km 3,3). We follow the asphalt up to when, to the left, we are able to take Salita Preli. We constantly follow the beautiful "crosa" that crosses away some times via Lodi, it passes among the houses of Preli, it also crosses the historical aqueduct (what we could advantageously follow) and it finishes at the street Piacenza (km 4,4).
We follow to the right the road that brings us to Staglieno (km 5,9) Gradient: -610 ms. Cycle: almost 100% Asphalt: 34% Observations: not practicable in slope.
