Aggiornamento: 2/2007 Partenza: il Santuario è raggiunto da una strada asfaltata che sale da Lencisa e da un'altra (la principale) che sale da Bolzaneto. E' raggiungibile con l'itinerario 1. Descrizione.
Dal piazzale del Santuario seguiamo la strada principale che aggira a nord l'edificio. Costeggiamo il muro orientale del Santuario e, dopo qualche metro in discesa, abbandoniamo la strada e prendiamo una strada col fondo in cemento che scende a sinistra (km 0,2; segnavia FIE che seguiremo fino alla fine).
Con facile discesa entriamo nel bosco e raggiungiamo il tracciato della guidovia (km 0,8). Attraversiamo e proseguiamo sulla mulattiera ora più stretta.
Passiamo vicinissimi ad un tornante della guidovia e scendiamo sul sentiero più ripido e dissestato, con qualche pietra e qualche gradino. Raggiungiamo la Cappella della Sosta (km 1,3; sorgente) e proseguiamo a destra. La pendenza aumenta
e scendiamo ripidamente ad incrociare di nuovo la guidovia (km 1,6).
Il sentiero prosegue al di là, in parte conservando l'antica pavimentazione. Un ripido tornante
ci porta ad un pilone segnaletico (km 1,9) dove proseguiamo a destra e raggiungiamo la guidovia.
Seguiamo il tracciato della guidovia uscendo sull'asfalto ad un quadrivio (km 2,1) dove prendiamo la strada di fronte a noi (via Sareto).
Seguiamo l'asfalto fino a quando possiamo svoltare a sinistra, di nuovo sulla guidovia (km
2,5). Effettuiamo un'ampia curva ed attraversiamo via Sareto proseguendo diritti fino a raggiungere Gaiazza (km 3,5).
Svoltiamo a destra e superiamo la piazza. All'incrocio (km 3,6) svoltiamo a sinistra in una stradina asfaltata.
Dopo pochi metri prendiamo la strada a sinistra, in discesa.
La stradina asfaltata effettua qualche saliscendi e ci porta ad incrocio (km
4,5) dove andiamo diritto.
Saliamo ad un bivio (km 4,6) dove teniamo a sinistra. Costeggiamo alcune case e proseguiamo in discesa su una sterrata che scende con qualche tornante e confluisce in una stradina malamente asfaltata che scende a sinistra e termina ad un quadrivio su una strada asfaltata (km
5,2).
Andiamo a destra e, subito dopo, a sinistra. La strada scende ad un cancello dove lasciamo l'asfalto e svoltiamo a sinistra in una carrareccia (km 5,3).
Lasciamo a destra un cancello e proseguiamo la discesa sul sentiero che scavalca la ferrovia trasformandosi in crosa mattonata.
La discesa, facile su larghi scalini, termina all'ingresso di un campo sportivo (km
5,9).
Seguiamo la strada asfaltata che scende e confluisce in una strada maggiore. La seguiamo a destra raggiungendo il ponte prossimo al centro di Pontedecimo (km 6,4). Dislivello: -750 m. Ciclabilità: 98% Asfalto: 29% Osservazioni: percorribile solo in discesa. Bella ed interessante permette combinazioni col percorso della guidovia.

Updating: 2/2007 Start: the Sanctuary is reached by an asphalted road that it climbs from Lencisa and by another (the principal one) that climbs from Bolzaneto. It's attainable with the itinerary 1. Description.
From the square of the Sanctuary we follow the principal road that revolves to north the building. We skirt the building and, after some meter in descent, we leave the road and we take a concrete road that goes down to the left (km 0,2; trail sign FIE that we will follow up to the end).
With easy descent we enter the wood and we reach the track of the old railway (km 0,8). We cross and we now continue on the more narrow mule-track.
We pass near to an hairping bend of the railway and we go down on the steep and ruined path, with some stone and some step. We reach the Chapel of the Rest (km 1,3; spring) and we continue to the right. The inclination increases and we steeply goes down to cross again the railway (km 1,6).
The path continues on the other side, partly preserving the ancient flooring. A steep hairping bend brings us to a descriptive pylon (km 1,9) where we continue to the right and we reach the railway.
We follow the track of the railway going out on the asphalt to a crossroads (km 2,1) where we take the road in front of us (street Sareto).
We follow the asphalt up to when we can turn to the left, again on the railway (km 2,5). We effect an ample curve and we cross again street Sareto continuing rights up to reach Gaiazza (km 3,5).
We turn to the right and we overcome the square. At the intersection we turn to the left in an asphalted narrow road.
After few meters we take to the left the road in descent.
The asphalted narrow road effects some ups and downs and brings us to intersection (km 4,5) where we go right.
We climb to a fork (km 4,6) where we hold to the left. We skirt some houses and we continue in descent on a dirt road that goes down with some hairping bends and it meets in a narrow road badly asphalted that it goes down to the left and it finishes to a crossroads on an asphalted road (km 6,3).
We go to the right and, immediately later, to the left. The road goes down to a gate where we leave the asphalt and we turn to the left in a car-track (km 5,3).
We leave to the right a gate and we continue the descent on the path that climbs over the railroad turning itself into paved crosa.
The descent, easy on wide stairs, it finishes to the entry of a sporting field (km 5,9).
We follow the asphalted road that it goes down and it meets in a greater road. We follow to the right it reaching the bridge next to the center of Pontedecimo (km 6,4). Gradient: -750 ms. Cycle: 98% Asphalt: 29% Observations: practicable only in descent. Beautiful and interesting run it allows combinations with the run of the railway (itinerary 1).
