Discesa dal Forte Diamante a Bolzaneto

Partenza: il Forte Diamante è la fortificazione più settentrionale della catena dei forti. E' raggiungibile con l'itinerario 7 e anche con le sue variazioni dal Righi.
Descrizione.
Dalla vetta scendiamo seguendo la mulattiera di accesso e raggiungiamo la Sella del Diamante (km 0,8). Qui svoltiamo a destra prendendo un sentiero che scende (segnavia r1 e r7).
Il sentiero taglia a mezzacosta le pendici del Diamante. Dopo un centinaio di metri lasciamo a sinistra il segnavia r7 che precipita in basso e proseguiamo. Superiamo un alberello con cartelli e segnalazioni e raggiungiamo un primo tornante (attenzione ad un cavo di acciaio attraverso al sentiero; km 1,4).
Il sentiero scende con altri cinque tornanti, ripido e stretto. Attraversiamo qualche tratto franato, poi una discesa ripida e dissestata. Il sentiero diviene facile e prosegue verso destra raggiungendo le prime case di Camporsella.
Attraversiamo il paese uscendo sulla strada principale (km 2,1) dove svoltiamo a sinistra in via Cadari.
Seguiamo la strada asfaltata che scende ad un bivio (km 2,5) dove teniamo la sinistra. Scendiamo ad un ponte e saliamo ad un valico (km 3,5) dove ritroviamo il segnavia r7 che seguiremo fino alla fine.
Percorriamo una trentina di metri e troviamo un quadrivio dove svoltiamo a destra. Saliamo per poco per una stradina. Immediatamente prima di entrare nel cortile di una casa svoltiamo a destra imboccando una mulattiera.
La discesa attraversa il bosco su buon sentiero in parte acciottolato. Al termine della discesa il sentiero va a sinistra con percorso pianeggiante e anche qualche salita.
Usciamo dal bosco presso una grande casa diroccata (km 4,9) dove la mulattiera termina in una sterrata che seguiamo a destra scendendo con due tornanti.
Confluiamo in una strada asfaltata (km 5,4) che seguiamo a destra. In discesa passiamo sotto alla Chiesa di Brasile e raggiungiamo la cappella di San Rocco (km 6).
Svoltiamo a destra prendendo la crosa che scende.
Con bella discesa sulla crosa a bassi gradini scendiamo fino a sottopassare l´autostrada (km 6,8).
La discesa prosegue asfaltata terminando a Bolzaneto in corrispondenza degli svincoli autostradali (km 7).

Description.
From the peak we go down following the mule-track of access and we reach the Saddle of the Diamond (km 0,7). We turn to the right here taking a path that goes down (trail sign r1 and r7).
The hillside path cuts the slopes of the Diamond. After hundred meters we leave to the left the trail r7 sign that falls in low and we continue. We get over a sapling with poster and signalings and we reach a first hairpin bend (attention to a steel cable that cross the path; km 1,4).
The path goes down with other five hairpin bends, steep and narrow. We cross some slipped stretches, then a descent steep and rough. The path becomes easy and continues toward right reaching the houses of Comporsella.
We cross the country going out on the main road (km 2,1) where we turn to the left.
We follow the tarmac that goes down to a fork (km 2,5) where we hold the left. We go down to a bridge and we climb to a pass (km 3,5) where we find again the trail sign r7 that we will follow up to the end.
We cross about thirty meters and we turn to the right. We climb for few a narrow road. Immediately before entering the courtyard of a house we turn to the right taking a mule-track.
The descent crosses the wood on good path. At the end of the descent the path goes to the left with level run and also some ascents.
We go out of the wood near a great house (km 4,9). The mule-track it goes down to the right and it becomes a narrow dirty road.
We meet in a tarmac road (km 5,4) that we follow to the right. In descent we pass under the church of Brasile and we reach the chapel of St. Rocco (km 6).
We turn to the right taking the crosa that it goes down.
With beautiful descent on the crosa with low steps we go down up to underpass the highway (km 6,8).
The descent continues tarmac finishing to Bolzaneto in correspondence of the highway junctions (km 7).
