Discesa da Rocche Bianche a Final Pia

Partenza: Rocche Bianche è raggiungibile con l'itinerario 3, l'itinerario 7, l'itinerario 8 del vadese e con l'itinerario 4. E' inoltre facilmente accessibile dalla strada che collega Colla del Termine e Colla di San Giacomo (vedi itinerario 6 e itinerario 2).
Descrizione.
Dal monumento scendiamo seguendo la strada carrozzabile asfaltata fino a raggiungere l´incrocio dove l´asfalto va a sinistra per Segno (km 1,8). Scendiamo invece a destra sull´ampia sterrata. Dopo circa 700 metri lasciamo a sinistra l'itinerario 25 del vadese e proseguiamo sulla strada.
La discesa conduce all´asfalto ed a Vezzi (km 4,2). Qui svoltiamo a sinistra fino alla provinciale dove svoltiamo a destra. Al bivio che segue non andiamo per Finale ma svoltiamo a sinistra e, dopo 100 metri, saliamo a destra (indicazioni per cimitero, km 4,9).
Superiamo la chiesa ed arriviamo alla chiesetta (km 5,2) posta sulla Colla di Magnone. Andando diritti andremmo al Bric dei Monti (itinerario 7).
Scendiamo a destra sull'ampio sentiero (attrezzato per non vedenti; FIE r8) che era l´antica via romana.
Un primo tratto, ripido e spesso fangoso, conduce all'incrocio col sentiero per il primo ponte (di Magnone) che rimane a destra e non viene raggiunto. Raggiungiamo il secondo ponte romano (dell´acqua) e la Casa du Puncin. Ancora qualche tratto ripido ed arriviamo ad incrociare il sentiero che scende dalle Manie (itinerario 10), all'altezza del terzo ponte (di Voze, km 7,1).
Dopo un centinaio di metri, all'altezza dei ruderi del quarto ponte, lasciamo il tracciato della strada antica (questo percorso è sempre possibile; la percorribilità del sentiero in basso è variabile: dipende dall'acqua che allaga facilmente il tracciato e dalla vegetazione) per salire sulla riva di destra e proseguiamo sul sentiero tra i prati. Senza ulteriori problemi proseguiamo sul tracciato che diviene una strada e supera il ponte delle Fate.
Lasciamo a sinistra un sentiero in salita (variante 31.1) e giungiamo sull´asfalto (km 9,5).
La ripida discesa asfaltata a destra porterebbe a Calvisio e poi a Finale Pia.
Svoltiamo invece a sinistra e saliamo alle vicine case di Verzi. Oltrepassiamo l´abitato (segnavia FIE r9) e la chiesa. Nei pressi del cimitero (a destra variante 31.2) la strada diviene sterrata e sale ripidamente.
Al termine del tratto ripido (km 10,3) abbandoniamo questa sterrata e prendiamo la mulattiera che sale a destra.
La mulattiera sale ripida e poco ciclabile e raggiunge un bivio con cartello segnalatore (km 10,7).
Di fronte proviene il sentiero che scende dalle Manie; svoltiamo a destra e proseguiamo in comune con l'itinerario 18.
Alternando tratti pianeggianti a qualche discesa procediamo fino ad arrivare ad incrociare una stradina in cemento (km 11,8).
Svoltiamo a sinistra e raggiungiamo alcune case. Scendiamo a destra ed arriviamo sull´asfalto in località cappella di Sant´Antonio (km 12).
Svoltiamo a destra e seguiamo la stradina per 100 metri poi scendiamo a sinistra. Seguendo i segnavia scendiamo su vecchie crose che ci portano ad attraversare due volte la strada asfaltata ed arriviamo proprio nella piazza del convento di Finalpia (km 12,9).
Dislivello: 690 m.
Ciclabilità: 98%
Osservazioni: in precedenza era descritto sotto l'itinerario 4.

Variante 31.1.
Più impegnativa ma più elegante del percorso principale.
Circa cento metri prima della confluenza nell´asfalto svoltiamo a sinistra in un ripido sentiero in salita (segnavia FIE r9). La salita è impegnativa, soprattutto all´inizio, poi la pendenza si attenua ed il fondo diviene in cemento presso le prime case. La mulattiera costeggia a monte le case di Verzi poi scende nei pressi della chiesa dove incontra il percorso principale (km 0,6).
Variante 31.2.
Immediatamente prima del cimitero svoltiamo a destra (segnavia r18). Dopo qualche metro la strada termina e proseguiamo sul sentiero (talvolta infrascato) che scende costeggiando una recinzione. Attraversiamo fasce di ulivi e scendiamo ad incrociare un sentiero maggiore dove svoltiamo a sinistra.
Il sentiero scende tra zone coltivate e si allarga a strada agricola col fondo in cemento. In ripida discesa raggiungiamo la strada asfaltata che seguiamo a sinistra fino a raggiungere il ponte di Verzi (km 0,7). Breve variante che permette di scendere a Calvisio evitando la strada.

Descent from White Rocks to Final Pia

Start: White Rocks is attainable by itinerario 3, itinerario 7, itinerario 8 of the vadese area and by itinerario 4. It's also accessible by the road that links Colla del Termine and Colla di San Giacomo (vedi itinerario 6 e itinerario 2).
Description.
From the monument we go down following the asphalted carriage road up to reach the cross where the tarmac goes to the left for Segno (km 1,8). We go down to the right instead on the dirt road. Later around 700 meters we leave to the left the itineraty 25 of the vadese and we continue on the road.
The descent leads to the tarmac and to Vezzi (km 4,2). We turn to the left here up to the provincial road where we turn to the right, to the fork that follows we don't go for Finale but we turn to the left and, after 100 meters, we climb to the right (indications for cemetery, km 4,9).
We overcome the church and we reach the chapel (km 5,2) sets on the Magnone Pass. Going rights we would go to the Bric of the Mountains (itinerary 7).
We go down to the right on an ample path (equipped for not seeing; FIE r8) that it was the old Roman road.
A first tract, steep and often muddy, it conducts to the intersection with the path for the first bridge (of Magnone) that it remains to the right and we dont reach. We reach the second Roman bridge (of the water). Still some steep tract and we arrive to cross the path that goes down from the Manie (itinerary 10), next of the third bridge (of Voze, km 7,1).
After hundred meters, next of the ruins of the fourth bridge, we leave the ruined layout to climb on the shore of right and we continue on the path among the lawns. Without further problems we continue on the layout that becomes a road, it overcomes the bridge of the Fairies and it arrives the tarmac (km 9,5) and we leave to the left, a little before, a wide path in ascent (varying 31.1).
The steep asphalted descent to the right would bring to Calvisio and then to Finale Pia.
We turn to the left instead and we climb to the near houses of Verzi. We go beyond the inhabited area (trail sign FIE r9) and the church. Near the cemetery the road becomes dirt road and steeply rise.
At the end of the steep tract (km 10,3) we abandon this dirt road and we take the mule-track that climbs to the right.
The mule-track climbs steep and few cycle and it reaches a fork with poster signaller (km 10,7).
In front of us the path that goes down from the Manie comes; we turn to the right and we continue in common withthe itinerary 18.
Alternating level tracts to some descent we proceed up to arrive to cross a narrow concrete road (km 11,8).
We turn to the left and we reach some houses. We go down to the right and we arrive on the tarmac in the place chapel of Sant´Antonio (km 12).
We turn to the right and we follow the narrow road for 100 meters then we go down to the left. Following the trail sign we go down on old crose that brings us to cross twice the asphalted road and we arrives really in thesquare of the convent of Finalpia (km 12,9).
Gradient: 690 ms.

More binding but more elegant than the principal run.
Around one hundred meters before the confluence on the asphalted road we turn to the left in a steep path in ascent (trail sign FIE r9). Climbs it is binding, above all at the beginning, then the inclination weakens and the geound becomes in concrete near the first houses. The mule-track skirts over the houses of Verzi then it goes down near the church where it meets the principal run (km 0,6).
