Da Calice proseguiamo sulla provinciale che costeggia il torrente in leggera salita.
Trascuriamo le strade laterali, superiamo la frazione Molino, poi Calvi. La pendenza
comincia ad aumentare e diviene forte dopo una curva a destra. Ad un bivio (km
4,2) teniamo la destra.
Con ripida salita raggiungiamo la piazzetta di Cheirano con piccola chiesa dove
ancora andiamo diritti.
Ancora in ripida salita arriviamo ad incrociare la strada maggiore che arriva
da Rialto.
Saliamo a sinistra con pendenza più moderata, superiamo un´ultima casa ed incontriamo
un bivio (km 5,7).
Prendiamo la strada che sale a destra, ora sterrata.
Non resta che proseguire su questa ampia strada che sale con fondo buono e pendenza
non eccessiva; all'unico incrocio (km 7,7) andiamo diritti.
Usciamo sulla strada provinciale che porta a Bormida ed Osiglia (km 12). Andiamo
a sinistra raggiungendo la SP del Melogno. Il Passo è a destra a 1500 metri. Dislivello: 960 m. Ciclabilità: 100% Osservazioni: attenzione alle auto.

From Calice we follow the main road skirting along the stream. We neglect the
indications for Rialto that they are met to the right and we always continue on
the road.
Crossed a bridge we begin to climb and soon the slope is made steep. At a fork
we go to the left and we reach the small church of Cheirano where we still go
straight on. We leave the houses with some steep hairping curves arriving to cross
a road. It is the road that arrives from Rialto (country that doesn't is necessary
to reach).
We rise to the left with more moderate inclination, we get over a last house and
we meet a fork (km 6).
We take the dirt road that it climbs to the right.
We rise with ample hairping curves and non excessive inclination. At the only
fork we go straight on.
We go out on the provincial road that brings to Bormida and Osiglia (km 12,5);
the National road is 100 m to the left (restaurant, itinerary 3 ).
Reached the National it is gone to slope up to the Pass. Gradient: 800 ms. On saddle: 100% Observations: be attention to the cars.
