Dalla strada provinciale, a qualche metro dalla chiesa di Giarolo, si stacca una stretta strada asfaltata in salita. La prendiamo e saliamo ripidamente lasciandoci alle spalle il paese.
Raggiungiamo ed attraversiamo il cancello di una grande stalla (km 0,7) e proseguiamo la salita su sterrato.
La strada sale con qualche largo tornante e lunghe diagonali. Trascuriamo una strada minore a sinistra e giungiamo ad un bivio nei pressi di alcune stalle (km 2,1).
Continuando a salire superiamo un cancello e raggiungiamo l'incrocio con la strada forestale che proviene dal rifugio
dei Piani di San Lorenzo (km 2,6; possibile percorso di salita alternativo a questo). Dopo un centinaio di metri lasciamo a sinistra una strada e proseguiamo a destra.
La pendenza aumenta
e la salita è molto dura anche se il fondo è quasi sempre ottimo. Dopo seicento metri la pendenza si attenua ma la salita rimane comunque impegnativa.
Con qualche tornante saliamo fino ad uscire dai faggi sul panoramico crinale
(km 4,6).
Svoltiamo a destra
e raggiungiamo la statua posta sulla vetta (km 4,9). Dislivello: 640 m. Ciclabilità: 95%. Asfalto: 16% Osservazioni:

From the provincial road, some meter from the church of Giarolo, it detaches a narrow asphalted road in slope. We take it and we steeply climb leaving us to the shoulders the country.
We reach and we cross the gate of a great cow-shed (km 0,7) and we continue the slope on dirty ground.
The road climbs with some wide hairping bends and long diagonals. We neglect to the left a smaller road and we come to a fork near some cow-sheds (km 2,1).
Continuing on climbing we overcome a gate and we reach the intersection with the forest road that arrives from the refuge of the Plans of St. Lawrence (km 2,6; is a possible alternative run of slope). After hundred meters we leave to the left a road and we continue to the right.
The inclination increases and the slope is very hard even if the bottom is almost always excellent. After six hundred meters the inclination weakens but the slope is binding however.
With some hairping bends we climb to go out of the beech trees on the panoramic ridge (km 4,6).
We turn to the right and we reach the statue placed on the peak (km 4,9). Gradient: 640 ms. Cycle: 95%. Asphalt: 16% Observations:
