Iniziamo il nostro itinerario in località La Baracca. Scendiamo sulla strada
per Deiva che parte di fronte al ristorante, in comune con l'itinerario 10.
Al primo incrocio andiamo diritti per Bonassola. Superiamo una breve salita, poi
la strada scende e raggiunge la Foce di Vaggi (km 3,1).
A sinistra si dipartono due sterrate. Prendiamo quella più a destra, quasi
parallela alla strada asfaltata. Inizialmente è facile, ma poi sale ripida
e faticosa.
La salita termina ad un incrocio (km 3,9). Evitiamo la strada di sinistra ed andiamo
diritti. Superato un piccolo valico ci troviamo su un largo sentiero roccioso che scende.
Proseguiamo quasi in piano ed arriviamo ad un bivio (km 4,6) dove andiamo diritti ora sul segnavia .
Entriamo in una zona di esbosco ed il sentiero si allarga a pista forestale. Evitiamo i rami in discesa ed andiamo a sinistra ad un bivio tra due strade (km 5).
Poco dopo arriviamo ad un quadrivio (km 5,1). Abbandoniamo l'itinerario 10 che qui va a sinistra e proseguiamo diritti sulla larga pista forestale.
Il percorso è quasi pianeggiante e si restringe gradatamente a sentiero. Con divertente discesa (preparata con paraboliche e salti, tutto evitabile) scendiamo nel bosco e raggiungiamo una discesa più ripida.
Scendiamo con qualche difficoltà un tratto con grosse pietre e gradoni raggiungendo un tornante al di sopra dei piazzali di una cava.
Proseguiamo più facilmente raggiungendo un incrocio (km 7) dove andiamo a destra. Il largo sentiero continua a scendere e raggiunge
il Passo del Colletto (km 7,3) dove incontriamo l'itinerario 11.
Svoltiamo a sinistra e seguiamo l'itinerario 11 al contrario. Il buon sentiero scende nel bosco attraversando qualche tratto roccioso. Alterniamo la discesa con qualche tratto pianeggiante e scendiamo ad un piazzale ai piedi delle pareti tagliate dalle vecchie cave di oficalci (km 9,1).
La discesa prosegue sulla strada di cava e termina alla confluenza con una strada maggiore che seguiamo a destra raggiungendo l'ampia sella di Crocettola (km 9,6).
Svoltiamo a sinistra e scendiamo seguendo una strada facile ma un po' dissestata che scende rapidamente ad incontrare la strada provinciale (km 11).
Attraversiamo l'asfalto e proseguiamo su una strada che scende al di là. Perdiamo quota senza difficoltà ed usciamo
sul mare dove seguiamo la passeggiata a sinistra per raggiungere Levanto (km 12,1 alla vecchia stazione). Dislivello: -720 m. Ciclabilità: >99% Asfalto: 30% Osservazioni: Raccordo 15.1: collegamento con la Foce di Lavaggiorosso sull'itinerario 10.
Al bivio del km 7 svoltiamo a sinistra in un largo sentiero. Il percorso presenta qualche ripida salita, breve ma non ciclabile e qualche passaggio "alto" da percorrere con precauzione. Un tratto più comodo ed in leggera discesa ci porta a confluire su una larga sterrata dove incontriamo l'itinerario 10 (km 1).
La Foce di Lavaggiorosso
è a destra a 40 metri.
Descent from Bracco to Levanto
Updating: 1/2008 Start: La Baracca is situated on the road of the Bracco Pass, to 16,5 kms from Borghetto Vara and in correspondence of the intersection with the road for Deiva. Description:
We begin our itinerary in the place La Baracca. We go down on the road for Deiva that departs in front of the restaurant, in common with the itinerary 10.
To the first intersection we go straight for Bonassola. We overcome a brief ascent, then the road goes down and reaches the Foce di Vaggi (km 3,1).
To the left they start two dirt road. We take that one to the right, almost parallel to the asphalted road. Initially it is easy, but then climb steep and fatiguing.
The ascent finishes to an intersection (km 3,9). We avoid the left road and we go straight. Crossed a small pass we find a wide rocky path that goes down.
We continue almost in plain and we arrive to a fork (km 4,6) where we now go straight on the signal track .
We enter a deforest zone and the path it widens to forest track. We avoid the branches in descent and we go to the left to a fork between two roads (km 5).
Shortly after we arrive to a crossroads (km 5,1). We leave the itinerary 10 that it goes to the left here and we continue straight on the wide forest road.
The run is almost level and gradually narrows to path. With amusing descent (prepared with parabolic and jumps, everything avoidable) we go down in the wood and we reach a steep descent.
We go down with some difficulties a tract with big stones and steps reaching a hairping bend above the squares of a quarry.
We continue more easily reaching an intersection (km 7) where we go to the right. The wide path keeps on going down and reaches the Pass del Colletto (km 7,3) where we meet the itinerary 11.
We turn to the left and we follow contrarily the itinerary 11. The good path goes down in the wood crossing some rocky tract. We alternate the descent with some level tract and we go down to a square to the feet of the walls cut by the old quarries (km 9,1).
The descent continues on the road and finishes to the confluence with a greater road that we follow to the right reaching the ample saddle of Crocettola (km 9,6).
We turn to the left and we go down following an easy but some ruined road that it quickly goes down to meet the provincial road (km 11).
We cross the asphalt and we continue on a road that goes down on the other side. We lose altitude without difficulty and we go out on the sea where we follow to the left the walk to reach Levanto (km 12,1 to the old station). Gradient: -720 ms. Cycle: >99% Asphalt: 30% Observations: Link 15.1: connection with the Foce of Lavaggiorosso on the itinerary 10.
At the fork of the km 7 we turn to the left in a wide path. The run offers some steep ascent, short but not cycle and some "high" passage to cross with precaution. A more comfortable tract in light descent it brings us to meet on a wide dirt road where we meet the itinerary 10 (km 1).
The Foce of Lavaggiorosso it is to the right to 40 meters.
