Dalla Cappella prendiamo il largo sentiero quasi pianeggiante in direzione est. Costeggiamo il piede della montagna
e saliamo al crocevia (km 0,5). Il sentiero a sinistra sale in vetta, quello a destra va a Casa del Romano o a Caprile.
Prendiamo il sentiero in discesa che attraversa un pianetto e scende con qualche stretto tornante.
Troviamo il vecchio segnavia FIE e quelli nuovi del CAI o n°245.
Attraversiamo il bosco su una buona mulattiera e raggiungiamo una prima volta il crinale (km 1,2). La discesa prosegue ancora sul versante orientale del monte e ci porta ad una seconda insellatura sul crinale (km 1,8). Qui a destra scendeva il sentiero FIE. Proseguiamo sulla mulattiera e scendiamo ad un piccolo valico (km 2,6; Sella della Banchiela). Lasciamo a destra il sentierino per Reneuzzi e a sinistra quelli per la Valle di Berga e proseguiamo sulla nostra mulattiera. Dopo un tratto quasi pianeggiante scendiamo con pendenza maggiore.
Lasciamo a destra una mulattiera (km 3,7) e scendiamo ancora ad un bivio (km 3,9).
Non prendiamo il sentiero 245 che scende a destra ma proseguiamo diritti continuando sulla stradina forestale (segnavia CAI 246a).
La strada scende dolcemente e incrocia una strada sterrata (km
4,3) che seguiamo a destra scendendo ad un lavatoio (km 4,6) presso le prime case di Campassi.
Proseguiamo diritti (la strada a destra scende comunque a Campassi) in un vicolo col fondo in cemento ed usciamo sull'asfalto nei pressi della chiesa (km 4,8).
Svoltiamo a sinistra e seguiamo la strada asfaltata che non lasceremo più. Dopo una breve salita scendiamo al ponte sul rio di Berga (km 8,2).
Saliamo alle case di Agneto (km 9,9) e proseguiamo in discesa fino al ponte di fondovalle (km 15,9). Superiamo una breve salita per confluire sulla strada di Cosola. Cabella è a sinistra a
3,3 km. Dislivello: -1200 m. Ciclabilità: quasi 100% Asfalto: 76% Osservazioni: Variante 18.1.
Al bivio svoltiamo a destra e scendiamo su una mulattiera che ci porta alle case di
Croso. Attraversiamo il paesino uscendo sull'asfalto e seguendolo raggiungiamo Campassi (km 1).
Descent from Antola mountain to Cabella Ligure

From the Chapel we take the wide almost level path in east direction. We cut the foot of the mountain and we climb to the crossroad (km 0,5). To the left the path climbs to the peak, to the right that that goes to House of the Romano or to Caprile.
We take the path in descent that crosses a plain and it goes down with some narrow hairping bends.
We find the old trail sign FIE and those new of the CAI or n°245.
We cross the wood on a good mule-track and we reach a first time the ridge (km 1,2). The descent it continues on the oriental slope of the mountain and it brings us to a second saddleback on the ridge (km 1,8). Here to the right the path FIE went down. We continue on the mule-track and we go down to a small pass (km 2,6; Sella della Banchiela). We leave to the right the narrow path to Reneuzzi and to the left those for the Valley of Berga and we continue on our mule-track. After an almost level tract we go down with greater inclination.
We leave to the right a mule-track (km 3,7) and we again go down to a fork (km 3,9).
We don't take the path 245 that it goes down to the right (variation) but we continue straight continuing on the forest narrow road (trail sign CAI 246a).
The road softly goes down and crosses an unmetalled road (km 4,3) that we follow to the right going down to a washtube (km 4,6) near the first houses of Campassi.
We continue straight (the road to the right goes down however to Campassi) in an alley with the bottom in cement and we go out on the asphalt near the church (km 4,8).
We turn to the left and we follow the asphalted road that we won't leave anymore. After a brief ascent we go down to the bridge on the brook of Berga (km 8,2).
We climb to the houses of Agneto (km 9,9) and we continue in descent up to the bridge of thalweg (km 15,9). We overcome a brief ascent to meet on the road of Cosola. Cabella is to the left to 3,3 kms. Gradient: -1200 ms. Cycle: almost 100% Asphalt: 76% Observations: Variation:
To the fork we turn to the right and we go down on a mule-track that brings us to the houses of Croso. We cross the country going out on the asphalt and following it we reach Campassi (km 1).
