Prendiamo la strada in direzione est ma la lasciamo subito per imboccare la sterrata che scende a sinistra (CAI 205 ).
La strada scende ripida e fangosa nel bosco. Dopo il tratto iniziale la pendenza si attenua e raggiungiamo un ponte (km 1,1) proseguendo in discesa fino ad un incrocio (bivio rio Vargo; km 1,4).
La strada a destra sale alle vicine case di Vargo. Noi svoltiamo a sinistra (CAI 206 ) e seguiamo la sterrata che inizia quasi subito a salire.
Superiamo alcune rovine con percorso a saliscendi e giungiamo ad un bivio (km 2,8) dove andiamo a destra. Ad un altro bivio (km 3,3) svoltiamo a sinistra, costeggiamo un prato e saliamo con percorso ripido e a tratti non ciclabile.
La salita
ci porta al bivio Campolungo (km 3,8) dove svoltiamo a destra e saliamo al termine della strada forestale che confluisce (km 4) in una ampia sterrata dal fondo stabilizzato.
Seguiamo a destra la strada che passa a fianco della cascina Rughè (km 4,1) e scende costeggiando un'ampia conca prativa con cascine.
Ad un bivio (km 5,6) lasciamo a sinistra l'itinerario 16 e scendiamo sulla sterrata che porta ad un bivio (km 6) dove andiamo a destra.
La strada
diventa asfaltata e scende alla Cappella di San Rocco (km 8,4) all'ingresso di Stazzano. Andiamo a destra raggiungendo il centro storico, il semaforo (km 8,6) e la piazza con i parcheggi. Dislivello: -450 m. Ciclabilità: 98% Asfalto: 25% Osservazioni:

We take the road in east direction but we immediately leave it to take the dirt road that goes down to the left (CAI 205 ).
The road goes down steep and muddy in the wood. After the initial tract the inclination weakens and we reaches a bridge (km 1,1) continuing in descent to an intersection (fork Vargo brook; km 1,4).
To the right the road climbs to the near houses of Vargo. We turn to the left (CAI 206 ) and we follow the dirt road that almost immediately begins to climb.
We overcome some ruins with ups and downs run and we come to a fork (km 2,8) where we go to the right. To another fork (km 3,3) we turn to the left, we skirt a lawn and we climb with steep and sometime non cycle run.
The ascent brings us to the fork Campolungo (km 3,8) where we turn to the right and we climb at the end of the forest road that meets (km 4) in an ample dirt road with the stabilized bottom.
We follow to the right the road that passes beside the farmhouse Rughè (km 4,1) and it goes down skirting an ample meadow basin with farmhouses.
To a fork (km 5,6) we leave to the left the itinerary 16 and we go down on the dirt road that brings to a fork (km 6) where we go to the right.
The road becomes asphalted and goes down to the Chapel of St. Rocco (km 8,4) at the entry of Stazzano. We go to the right reaching the historical center, the traffic light (km 8,6) and the square with the parking lot. Gradient: -450 ms. Cycle: 98% Asphalt: 25% Observations:
