Aggiornamento: 1/2007 Partenza: la vetta (m 1287) può essere raggiunta per strada
asfaltata partendo da Varazze (km 20) oppure, via Piampaludo, da S.Pietro d'Orba
o da Sassello. Dal versante meridionale normalmente è salito utilizzando l'itinerario 1. Sono utilizzabili anche l'itinerario 2 o l'itinerario 5. Descrizione:
Dalla chiesetta raggiungiamo l'asfalto ed andiamo a destra. Al termine della discesa stiamo a destra e costeggiamo l'asfalto raggiungendo la discesa dove corre la via crucis e tutti i segnavia (km 0,3).
La discesa termina alla sella (km 0,5) dove si incontrano sei sterrate. Svoltiamo a destra (segnavia FIE ) prendendo una sterrata in leggera discesa.
La strada scende ad un sella nel bosco (km 1,3) e prosegue a sinistra. Qui la lasciamo e svoltiamo a destra. Lasciamo anche il segnavia che sale al vicino Montegrosso e seguiamo il segnavia .
Percorriamo un sentiero che scende le placche rocciose del Montegrosso e confluisce in una pista forestale che seguiamo in discesa.
Al tornante lasciamo la pista ed andiamo a sinistra.
Il sentiero è ora fortemente dissestato, con molte pietre e gradoni. Superiamo anche qualche imponente scala formata da enormi blocchi di pietra. Alcuni tratti possono essere evitati passando sul sentierino che corre nel prato a destra.
La parte più impegnativa termina su un breve pianetto nel bosco (km 2,6).
Proseguiamo in discesa fino al termine del sentiero sull'asfalto (km 3) all'inizio del Laione.
Proseguiamo a sinistra utilizzando il sentiero che costeggia, all'esterno, la Riserva Integrale (dalla quale, ovviamente, dobbiamo tenerci a distanza).
Ritorniamo sull'asfalto e lo seguiamo fino ai Buschiazzi (km 5,6; dovrebbe essere possibile seguire integralmente il segnavia che taglia i tornanti della strada).
Seguendo la strada minore, dove passano anche i segnavia, proseguiamo fino alla chiesa di Piampaludo (km 6,7). Dislivello: -440 m Ciclabilità: 90% Asfalto: 52%. Osservazioni: poco ciclabile e con parecchio asfalto.
Descent from mount Beigua to Piampaludo
Updating: 1/2007 Approach: the peak (m 1287) it can be reached on asphalted road departing from Varazze (km 20) or, via Piampaludo, from S.Pietro d'Orba or from Sassello. From the southern slope it has normally climbed using the itinerary 1. The itinerary 2 or 5 are usable too. Description:
From the small church we reach the asphalt and we go to the right. At the end of the descent we stay ti the right and we skirt the asphalt reaching the descent where it races the via crucis and all the trail signs (km 0,3).
The descent finishes to the saddle (km 0,5) where they meets six dirt road. We turn to the right (trail sign FIE ) taking a forest road in light descent.
The road goes down to a saddle in the wood (km 1,3) and it continues to the left. Here we leave it and we turn to the right. We leave also the trail sign that climbs to the near Montegrosso and we follows the trail sign .
We cross a path that goes down the rocky plates of the Montegrosso and it meets in a forest track that we follow in descent.
To the hairping bend we leave the track and we go to the left.
The path is strongly now ruined, with a lot of stones and steps. We also overcome some imposing staircase formed by enormous blocks of stone. Some tracts can be avoided passing on the narrow path that races to the right in the lawn.
The most binding part finishes on a brief plain in the wood (km 2,6).
We continue in descent up to the term of the path on the asphalt (km 3) to the beginning of the Laione.
We continue to the left using the path that skirts, to the outside, the Integral Reserve (from which, obviously, we have to care to distance).
We return on the asphalt and we follow it up to the Buschiazzi (km 5,6; it should be possible to integrally follow the trail sign that cuts the hairping bends of the road).
Following the smaller road, where they also run the trail signs, we continue up to the church of Piampaludo (km 6,7). Gradient: -440 m Cycle: 90% Asphalt: 52%. Observations: few cycle and with quite a lot asphalt.
