Discesa dal rif. Argentea al Passo della Gava

Partenza: il rifugio è raggiungibile con l'itinerario 19 oppure con l'itinerario 2.
Descrizione:
Dall'ingombrante rifugio situato nel punto più alto del crinale (rifugio Argentea sulla Cima Pian di Lerca) scendiamo in direzione est seguendo la strada di accesso. Lasciamo a sinistra la strada per Vara e l'Alta Via di crinale per seguire il sentiero che scende a destra (segnavia MMA di una gara non competitiva annuale).
Il sentiero è piuttosto roccioso all´inizio, poi diventa facile e taglia il pendio della montagna con andamento quasi pianeggiante interrotto da qualche rampa in discesa.
Arriviamo ad incontrare il sentiero maggiore che arriva dall'Argentea (km 1,6) e lo seguiamo a sinistra. Con bel percorso, a tratti spettacolare, superiamo uno sperone roccioso.
Una ripida discesa con due tornanti ci porta ad un piccolo prato con la bella sorgente Leone (km 2,8). Attraversiamo il rio omonimo e scendiamo in un tratto con pietre smosse. La discesa si svolge ormai in vista del passo della Gava.
Arriviamo alla ristrutturata Cà da Gava (km 4) ed alla vicina strada che, seguita a sinistra, porta al Passo (km 4,5).
Dislivello: 350 m.
Ciclabilità: 90% in discesa.
Asfalto: 0%.
Osservazioni: itinerario di raccordo con il crinale principale.

Descent from mount Argentea to the Pass of the Gava

Description:
From the bulky shelter placed in the highest point of the ridge (shelter Silvery) we go down in east direction following the road of access. We leave to the left the road for Vara and the AV to follow the path that goes down to the right (trail sign MMA of an annual non competitive competition).
The path is rather rocky at the beginning, then it becomes easy and it cuts the slant of the mountain with almost level course interrupted by some ramp in descent.
We arrive to meet the most greater path that arrives from the Argentea (km 1,6) and we follow to the left it. With beautiful run sometime spectacular, get over a rocky spur.
A steep descent with two hairpin bends leads us to a small lawn with the beautiful source Leo (km 2,8). We cross the homonym brook and we go down in a stretch with shifted stones. The descent runs by now in sight of the pass of the Gava.
We arrive to restructured Cà da Gava (km 4) and to the near road that, followed to the left, leads to the Pass (km 4,5).
Gradient: 350 ms.
Cycle: 90% in descent.
Tarmac: 0%.
