Aggiornamento: 3/2006 Partenza: il santuario è raggiungibile con l'itinerario 3. Descrizione.
Dal Santuario scendiamo a settentrione superando qualche scaletta (evitabile) ed entriamo nel bosco (segnavia ). Seguitiamo a scendere sul largo sentiero che porta ad un cancelletto. Il sentiero prosegue, raggiunge una selletta e sale ad un traliccio. Una ripida discesa ci porta sull´asfalto (km 0,4) che seguiamo finchè, a sinistra, vediamo una evidente sterrata ed un incrocio di sentieri. Prendiamo la sterrata, saliamo ad un ripetitore e scendiamo ad un quadrivio (Sella di Caso; km 1).
Lasciamo a sinistra l´itinerario 5 e scendiamo a destra. Dopo una decina di metri attraversiamo la strada asfaltata e seguiamo la mulattiera (segnavia ) che scende.
La mulattiera è un bel tracciato lastricato che non presenta difficoltà. Raggiungiamo alcune case (Vegliasco) dove incontriamo un bivio. Lasciamo il segnavia ed andiamo a sinistra. Poco dopo la mulattiera confluisce sull´asfalto (km 1,8).
Svoltiamo a sinistra e seguiamo la strada (di nuovo segnavia ). Dopo circa 300 metri seguiamo a sinistra il sentiero che scende tagliando il tornante.
Seguiamo a sinistra la strada asfaltata, prima pianeggiante poi in lieve discesa,
e raggiungiamo le case di località Palazzina dove termina la strada (km 2,6).
Seguiamo la larga mulattiera lastricata che scende ripida e conduce ad un bivio (km 3) presso il civico 39.
Lasciamo la stradina cementata che prosegue (variante 7.1) e svoltiamo a destra con pendenza elevata e fondo un po' dissestato. Attraversiamo una strada sterrata e scendiamo ad una stradina che seguiamo a sinistra. La discesa è ripida ma il fondo diventa asfaltato. Raggiungiamo le case e la chiesetta di Madonna delle Grazie (km 3,9).
Proseguiamo diritti e seguiamo la mulattiera che scende ripida, attraversiamo una strada asfaltata e proseguiamo sulla crosa che termina sull´asfalto (km 4,4).
Andiamo a sinistra e raggiungiamo la ferrovia; andiamo a sinistra per raggiungere la stazione ed il centro di Alassio (km 5). Dislivello: 580 m. Ciclabilità: 100% Asfalto: 32 % Osservazioni: solo discesa. Variante
7.1:
Al bivio proseguiamo diritti scendendo per un tratto cementato. Il percorso è contrassegnato dal segnavia , non molto visibile.
La discesa si svolge interamente su una larga mulattiera che scende tra i muri di confine. Senza possibilità di errore terminiamo sull´asfalto nel punto in cui l´itinerario principale raggiunge la ferrovia (km 1,1).
Descent from Madonna della Guardia to Alassio

From the Sanctuary we go down to north overcoming some stairs (avoidable) and we enter the wood (trail sign ). We continue the descent on the wide path that leads to a little gate. The path continues, it reaches a saddleback and climbs to a pylon. A steep descent leads us on the asphalt (km 0,4) that we follow as far as, to the left, we see an evident dirt road and an intersection of paths. We take the dirt road, we climb to a repeater and we go down to a crossroads (km 1).
We leave to the left the itinerary 5 and we go down to the right. After about ten meters we cross the tarmac and we follow the mule-track (trail sign ) that it goes down.
The mule-track it is a beautiful layout paved that not presents difficulty. We reach some houses (Vegliasco) where we meet a fork. We leave the trail sign and we go to the left. Shortly after the mule-track it meets on the asphalt (km 1,8).
We turn to the left and we follow the road (again trail sign ). Later around 300 meters we follow to the left the path that goes down cutting the hairpin bend.
We follow to the left the tarmac, first level then in light descent, and we reach the houses of place Palazzina where the road ends (km 2,6).
We follow the wide paved mule-track that goes down steep and it leads to a fork (km 3) near the civic 39.
We leave the narrow road that it continues (varying 7.1) and we turn to the right with elevated inclination and bottom some rough. We cross a dirt road and we go down to a narrow road that we follow to the left. The descent is steep but the bottom becomes asphalted. We reach the houses and the little church of Madonna of the Graces (km 3,9).
We continue straight on and we follow the mule-track that it goes down steep, we cross a tarmac road and we continue on the crosa that finishes on the asphalt (km 4,4).
We go to the left and we reach the railroad; we go to the left to reach the station and the center of Alassio (km 5). Gradient: 580 ms. Cycle: 100% Tarmac: 32% Observations: only descent. Varying 7.1:

The descent entirely develops its on a wide mule-track that it goes down among the walls of border. Without possibility of error we finish on the asphalt in the point in which the itinerary main reaches the railroad (km 1,1).
