Aggiornamento: 5/2009 Inizio: Colla di San Giacomo è attraversata dalla strada asfaltata che collega Mursecco con Viola. E' attraversata dall'itinerario 4. Percorso.
Partiamo dalla chiesetta ed attraversiamo l'asfalto prendendo la sterrata dalla parte opposta, in comune con l'itinerario 4. Qualche saliscendi ci porta ad un quadrivio (km 1) dove svoltiamo a destra in una sterrata minore.
Andiamo in discesa su fondo a tratti dissestato ed incontriamo numerosi bivio dove teniamo costantemente la destra, sempre sul tracciato più evidente ed intuitivo.
Dopo l'ultimo incrocio la strada attenua la sua pendenza e diventa una bella pista forestale tra i castagneti giardino.
La strada diventa asfaltata alle prime case di borgata Bianche (km 3,6). Proseguiamo tra le case fino alla chiesetta di San Pietro e Paolo (km 3,7) dove entriamo sulla strada Viola-Mursecco.
Seguiamo a sinistra l'asfalto e scendiamo. Superiamo qualche casa
e svoltiamo a sinistra (km 4,3) per imboccare une evidente strada agricola sterrata che scende tra i castagni.
Arriviamo ad un bivio (km 4,7) dove svoltiamo a destra.
Continuiamo la discesa, ora più ripida, e giungiamo al termine della strada forestale all'incrocio con una stradina asfaltata (km 4,9).
Svoltiamo a destra e scendiamo al ponte (km 5,3) che superiamo e svoltiamo a destra.
Raggiungiamo le case di Riviera e la strada principale (km 5,6). Dislivello: -470 m Ciclabilità: 100% Asfalto: 26% Osservazioni: non percorribile in salita.
Descent from San Giacomo Pass to Riviera
Updating: 5/2009 Beginning: Pass of St. Giacomo is crossed by the asphalted road that links Mursecco with Viola. It's crossed by the itinerary 4. Run.
We depart from the little church and we cross the asphalt taking the dirt road on the opposite part, in common with the itinerary 4. Some ups and downs bring us to a crossroads (km 1) where we turn to the right in a smaller dirt road.
We go in descent on bottom sometime ruined and we meet numerous fork where we constantly hold the right, always on the most evident and intuitive run.
After the last intersection the road attenuates its inclination and becomes a beautiful forest road among the chestnuts.
The road becomes asphalted to first houses of village Bianche (km 3,6). We continue among the houses up to the church of St. Pietro and Paul (km 3,7) where we enter on the road Viola-Mursecco.
We follow to the left the asphalt and we go down. We overcome some house and we turn to the left (km 4,3) to take an evident agricultural dirt road that goes down among the chestnut trees.
We arrive to a fork (km 4,7) where we turn to the right. The descent we continue, now steep, and we come at the end of the forest road to the intersection with an asphalted narrow road (km 4,9).
We turn to the right and we go down to the bridge (km 5,3) that we overcome and we turn to the right.
We reach the houses of Riviera and the principal road (km 5,6). Gradient: -470 ms Cycle: 100% Asphalt: 26% Observations: not practicable in ascent.
