Descrizione.
Dalla chiesa al centro di Lurisia scendiamo seguendo la strada principale, usciamo
dal paese andando diritti all´incrocio e raggiungiamo l´incrocio con la provinciale
(km 1,2).
Svoltiamo a sinistra e saliamo fino a raggiungere il Colle del Mortè (km
2,8).
Lasciamo l´asfalto per entrare, a sinistra, nella sterrata che precede il ristorante (segnaletica).
La sterrata sale ad un bivio dove stiamo a sinistra e raggiunge un secondo incrocio
dove andiamo a destra.
La strada sale con una ripida rampa e raggiunge un incrocio dove continuiamo a
destra.
Raggiungiamo un ennesimo incrocio (km 4) dove seguiamo a destra l'indicazione
per la via delle cave.
Il percorso attraversa il versante settentrionale del monte ed attraversa una
zona con antichi scavi.
Un'aspra rampa costringe a scendere di sella poi la salita prosegue meno ripida
e porta sul crinale (km 5,5).
Qui incontriamo un altro sentiero e svoltiamo a destra. Avanziamo con qualche
saliscendi e raggiungiamo l´asfalto in corrispondenza della Cappella dell'Olocco
(km 7,4).
Andiamo in salita, in comune con l´itinerario 29, seguendo la ripida strada asfaltata.
In corrispondenza di un tornante l´asfalto termina e continuiamo la salita con
numerosi tornanti. Dopo l'ultima curva la strada inizia un lungo diagonale a destra
e raggiunge il Gias Mascarone Sottano (km 12,8).
Proseguiamo diritti in direzione del Gias Mascarone di Mezzo. Al secondo tornante
abbandoniamo la strada e saliamo a sinistra in un vago sentierino.
Bici in spalla saliamo il ripido pendio fino ad incrociare il sentierino che proviene
dal Gias Mascarone di Mezzo e lo seguiamo a destra.
Giunti nel valloncello sottostante alla vetta saliamo a destra per raggiungere
il crinale.
Andiamo a sinistra per raggiungere la vicina spalla dove giungono gli impianti
sciistici.
Con percorso più diretto e maggiore dislivello potremmo giungere qui salendo
direttamente dal sentiero che si distacca dalla sterrata poco prima del Gias Mascarone
Sottano.

Ascent from Lurisia to Cima Pigna

Description.
From the church to the center of Lurisia we go down following the main road, we
go out of the country going straight on to the cross and we reach the intersection
with the provincial road (km 1,2).
We turn to the left and climb up to reach the Pass of the Mortè (km 2,8).
We leave the asphalt to enter the dirt road that precedes the restaurant (system
of signs). The dirt road climbs to a fork where we go to the left and it reaches
a second intersection where we go to the right.
The road climbs with a steep ramp and it reaches an intersection where we continue
to the right.
We reach a nth intersection (km 4) where we follow to the right the indication
for the street of the quarries.
The run crosses the northern side of the mountain and crosses a zone with ancient
excavations.
A sour ramp forces to go down of saddle then the ascent it continues less steep
and leads on the ridge (km 5,5).
Here we meet another path and we turn to the right. We advance with some up-and-downs
and we reach the asphalt in correspondence of the Chapel of the Olocco (km 7,4).
We go to ascent, in common with the itinerary 29, following the steep tarmac road.
In correspondence of an hairpin bend the asphalt finishes and we continues the
ascent with many hairpin bends. After a last curve the road begins to the right
a long diagonal and reaches the Gias Mascarone Sottano (km 12,8).
We continue straight on in direction of the Middle Gias Mascarone. At the second
hairpin bend we leave the road and climb to the left in a vague path.
Bike in shoulder we climb the steep slant up to cross the narrow path that comes
from the Middle Gias Mascarone and we follows to the right it.
Reaches to the right in the little valley below the peak we climb to reach the
ridge.
We go to the left to reach the near shoulder where the skilift come.
With run more direct and greater gradient we could directly come here climbing
from the path that it detaches from the dirt road just before the Gias Mascarone
Sottano.
